Professional Supervision for Counsellors
Hello, my name is Anna, I'm a student counsellor supervisor in Faversham.
What is counselling supervision?
Counselling supervision is a formal, collaborative process where a counsellor meets with a more experienced practitioner to reflect on their work with clients. It is a professional requirement for ethical practice, ensuring client welfare, and supporting the counsellor's professional and personal development. During supervision, the supervisor provides guidance, feedback, and a safe space for the counsellor to discuss their practice, manage challenging cases, and ensure they are working within their competencies.

I am studying for a Certificate in Supervision at CSTD Bath which is set to be completed in April 2026. See all of my qualifications here.

The counsellor supervision process I offer has grown organically from my career in both counselling and teaching. This consists of my training and practice of Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy, my years of working in the education sector and my teaching and facilitating groups of counsellors as they develop in the profession.

My own reflective practice has developed my passion for creating the very best conditions for professionals to flourish as reflective practitioners themselves - in the field of counselling and psychotherapy for adults and young people, in education and other roles where a dedication to helping others is at the core.

Who I Work With
Many people become counsellors because they love being able to help others, and I am no different. I love being able to facilitate those all-important breakthrough moments for all of my clients. I have been a counsellor since 2017 and have decades of experience as a fully qualified teacher.
It's my job to create a comfortable, safe environment for you, that allows you to unload, reflect and refine your counsellor process.
These are some of the professionals I work with:

- Counsellors in training and newly qualified therapists

- Counsellors and Psychotherapists who work with people of all ages and all walks of life.

- Education professionals such as
Safeguarding Leads and Early Years practitioners, who work in an organisational context.

What I Offer
When you book a session with me, you will enjoy counselling supervision with someone who cares deeply about your progress and welfare.
I have been a qualified counsellor since 2017, and teaching since 1996. My therapy room is a comfortable, cosy and safe space for you to experience the highest quality supervision available.
The supervision I offer is in line with all statutory and ethical requirements.
In addition to post-graduate qualifications, my supervision can provide you with a broad theoretical foundation.

Over the years, I have developed both a unique reflective practice and imaginative systems to create the very best conditions for professionals to flourish.
My supervision adheres to the BACP Ethical Framework, requiring qualified therapists to have a minimum of 1.5 hours of clinical supervision per month, the EYFS statutory framework and the DfE statutory requirements for Safeguarding Leads.

"Anna brings a lot of care and experience to her work with clients and offers an integrative approach that helps meet the needs of those she works with. I find Anna to be a calm, insightful, kind and resourceful therapist and a very genuine and authentic person."

"ALB helped me define and access emotional language when I started studying CPCAB Level 2 Counselling skills course. A deep trusting professional relationship was built. I appreciate being able to return for counselling when life threw a few challenges 'all at once', as it provided extra stability for me to continue with further study. The counselling room is a safe welcome space, I felt comfortable to relax and be 'me'."

"I have been meeting with Anna for counselling peer supervision regularly for the past year and a half. In that time I have found her to be reliable, thoughtful, insightful and compassionate. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to clients and colleagues alike."
